Photo Submission Guidelines (please read carefully):BODY WORLDS and The Mirror of time seeks photo submissions for My Life in Pictures, a special project to be featured as part of the exhibition, opening at the O2 this Fall. The submissions for My Life in Pictures should represent an individual or family at various stages of life, through photographs. The images may be of generations of a family or of the same person (or people) over time. Images may be presented as single images or a series of two or more images. Some examples of images that may be submitted are images of you at the age of 5, 10, 15 and 20, an image of yourself as or as a teenager and in different stages as an adult, perhaps an image of a couple at their wedding and later at their 50th wedding anniversary, or an image of three generations from the same family (i.e. grandmother, mother, daughter or images of a father and son). These are only some examples, and we look forward to seeing your life in pictures. The selected photos will be presented as part of the exhibition, BODY WORLDS & The Mirror of Time, and may be featured on the BODY WORLDS website and other promotional materials. Entrants of selected images will be contacted and notified if their image will be used. Entrants of images that will be featured in the exhibition will be invited to attend a special viewing of the completed exhibition. There is no compensation, monetary or otherwise, for entry or if an image is selected. Please read complete submission guidelines below, carefully. If you decide to submit your paper photos, please make sure to mark on the back your name and the year the image was taken or send a separate sheet with the according image legend. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS: By submitting any photos (digital or print), entrants acknowledge that they own all intellectual property rights that relate to their entry and agree to assign their intellectual property rights to Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS (Organizer) and permit Organizer to use their entry in any media for any purpose whatsoever. Entrants who do not agree to this use should not submit entries.
GENERAL: Entry constitutes permission to use entrants’ entry, first name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph and any statements regarding this contest for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of Organizer without compensation.
OTHER: Organizer assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, or lost entries. Organizer reserves the right, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or force majeure. In the event of a dispute regarding online entry, entry will be deemed made by the holder of an established e-mail account associated with the entry. Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject, disqualify, modify, edit, and revise any entries, subjects or related materials that are nude, obscene, defamatory, profane, offensive, lewd, pornographic, false, misleading, deceptive, or otherwise inconsistent with Organizers editorial standards, audience expectations, or reputational interests or that Organizer believes may violate any applicable law or regulation or the rights of any third party. Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to verify any element of any entry or related materials and to disqualify any entrant whose participation may subject Organizer’s advertisers, clients, or customers to controversy, negative publicity, scorn, or ridicule.
Neither Organizer nor its sponsors, employees, volunteers, agents, or assigns may be held liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of submitting an entry.
By submitting any photo, text, or other content or information to Organizer, Entrants represent and warrant that the submitted photo, text, or other content or information does not infringe on any copyright or trademark, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party and that Entrant has the right to transfer the photo, text, or other content or information to Organizer free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.
Entrants acknowledge and agree that Organizer shall have no obligation to post, display, or otherwise make publicly available any photo, text, or content or other information submitted by Entrant.
Entrants further understand and intend that any photo, text, and other content or information submitted to Organizer may be available for viewing, reviewing, and commenting by the public and understand that comments that Entrant may disagree with or is unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with any photo, text, or other content or information submitted to Organizer. By submitting any photo, text, or other content or information to Organizer, Entrants hereby waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to any such photo, text, or other content or information submitted by you to Organizer. By submitting an image, entrants give the Organizer permission to edit the images as needed for use in display. The Entrant allows Organizer to distribute the images to third parties (e.g. to members of the media for publicity purposes or in advertising campaigns) but only when related to the aforementioned exhibition.
Organizer will not share or distribute contact details, or surname of entrant to third parties without prior permission from entrant.
AGE: All entrants must be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated or posted. Only parents or legal guardians may submit entries for those under 18 years of age.
